A History of the Dori Pole Design

In 1984 Vince Mackel developed a new solution for communicating in the landscape. As a trained and practicing Landscape Architect, and founder of Vince Mackel, Inc., Mr. Mackel examined the way people respond to visual systems in the outdoor environment and developed the Dori Pole visual impact system. Mr. Mackel suggested that the movement of Dori Pole pennants would create a greater impact in settings where communication is less dependant on the written word.

Since 1984, the Dori Pole system has proven its impact at the '84 Olympics, Super Bowls, Op Sail 2000, '94 World Cup, racetracks, movies, amusement parks, hotels, wineries, car dealerships and many private homes. Many satisfied customers have enhanced their events with Dori Pole.

In 2005 Consort Display Group acquired the rights to manufacture and distribute Dori Pole as a valuable addition to Consort's innovative line of display products.
